Alasdair Fraser es uno de los músicos más renombrados de Escocia por su dedicación a la música tradicional y su increíble calidad como intérprete de violín, y con o sin su colaborador habitual, Paul Machlis, nos ha regalado discos de gran calidad. En 1996 este dúo nos deleitó con un álbum denominado Skydance cuyo resultado les sería bastante satisfactorio, pues derivó en la creación de una banda con el mismo nombre. Aunque en teoría Fraser es el líder, los músicos que entraron a formar parte del proyecto han aportado tanta calidad que el sonido Skydance cobró vida propia y para el segundo álbum, Way Out to Hope Street, ya se confirmaron como una de las bandas más interesantes del ya de por sí rico panorama de la música celta

Labyrinth from the band Skyedance, whose members feature on soundtracks such as Titanic, Braveheart and Last of the Mohicans, interweaves Scottish roots with influences from around the world, threading the path of discovery with melodic, harmonic and rhythmic interplay.
