Since its creation in 1999, RUTABAGA knew always how to develop its music, of its debuts reggae punctuated by the mini album " Djaba " and by 200 concerts through France, in the bend begun in 2002 with the album " Roumiya " making the beautiful part in tones world current. It is on the stages of clubs as festivals that the group acquired the thickness, the groove and the wealth of the sound interbreeding (song, rock, music of balkans and of the average east, the jazz) and linguistics (French, Rumanian, Beninese) which confers him its current personal and original stature.

Today with 350 concerts in its asset (France, Germany, Rumania), RUTABAGA goes away openly from Jamaican tones to assert completely its cosmopolitan musical courtship, that the last album " From a world to the other one " (April, 2006), in which participate their gypsy friends of the THE LUI CRACIUN brass band (from Rumania), confirms definitively. The music of RUTABAGA is an invitation in a journey where consciousness, emotion and generosity make dance the enjoyments and the tears of each nowadays.
