X-Tribe – Drum Circle

Join in the high energy and raw rhythms of Akshara Weave’s X-Tribe. Inspired by Haitian rhythmic patterns, these drummers will literally blow your mind with beats and groove. Using primarily percussion, this collective brings new meaning to the term “Drum Circle!” Featuring: didgeridoo, flute, voice, djembes, dholaks, congas, surdos, dumbeks, dohollas, bata, bas, ogan, & ason.
“We are One within this tribe which has no name; we are One with the spirit of the drum.”

This album of world drumming pushes the limits of complexity, just barely staying legible. The image of the African drummer stands out just enough, the title DRUM CIRCLE is just bold and big enough to stand out. The background texture gives a cosmic feel. This dizzying pastiche is not MY slant on design, but the cover should appeal to those who like “hot” world-beat music and relate to the mixture of patterns in ethnic fabric.
