Nacido el 14 de abril de 1922 en Bengala Oriental (Bangladesh), Ali Akbar Khan (Khansahib) comenzó sus estudios de música a la edad de tres años.Hijo del gran maestro ALLAUDDIN KHAN, maestro de Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan es considerado como uno de los más grandes intérpretes de Sarod.
