Hull Buyh Dorr means "heatbeat", which is an accurate description of the feel of this album by Ayo Nelson-Homiah. Ayo composed, arranged, and performs all of the tracks on this album, which makes it somewhat unique when it comes to West African drum music. Although influenced by traditional West African rhythms from the Gambia, Ghana, and Nigeria, this music expresses the personality and multi-cultural experiences of Ayo. A talented musician, Ayo was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa,and raised in The Gambia. In 1995 he was one of the founders of the AfroCarib Percussion group " Maglaria". The group performed in most of the local clubs. In 1996 Ayo was one of the founders of the African Trance Percussion group "SENEGAMBIGHA". Hull BuyH Dorr is Ayo's first solo album.
The Heartbeat album consists of 9 original compositions all performed by Ayo Nelson-homiah, and is Recorded a Solune Studio in Berlin, Germany.
