The Yuval Ron Ensemble & Najwa Gibran - Tree Of Life

World-music artist, composer, producer, educator and peace activist, Yuval Ron works internationally in film, television, dance and theater. Among his many honors, he was invited to perform for the Dalai Lama, for Pir Zia Iniyat Khan (Head of the Sufi International Order), and has produced the record One Truth –“a window into the divine passion and poetry of Sufism”- with the turkish master musician Omar Faruk Tekbilek.

Yuval is the musical director and oud player for The Yuval Ron Ensemble, which includes Arabic, Jewish and Christian artists who unite the sacred music traditions of Judaism, Sufism and the Armenian Church into an unusual mystical, spiritual and inspiring musical celebration.

The ensemble is joined by vocalists Najwa Gibran and Maya Haddi. In Tree Of Life (2005), the ensemble weaves together the sacred and folkloric music of Andalusia (Southern Spain), the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia into a rich tapestry of musical and cultural amalgamation. The album features the legendary Armenian woodwind master Yeghish Manukyan on duduk and clarinet.
